Dilemma in de NOW: opgelost?
‘Deel van werkgevers dreigt coronasteun te moeten terugbetalen’, kopte de voorpagina van het FD op 22 mei 2020 toen wij aan de bel trokken naar aanleiding van een onderdeel van de NOW-regeling. Het probleem lijkt te worden opgelost, nu de minister van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid aangeeft dat UWV in de uitvoering op dit punt maatwerk kan leveren.
Dilemma in de NOW: de referentieloonsom
De NOW-regeling heeft ervoor gezorgd dat veel bedrijven na het begin van de coronacrisis snel een tegemoetkoming voor hun loonkosten hebben ontvangen. Die snel- en ruwheid hebben er nu echter toe geleid dat veel ondernemers onterecht geconfronteerd worden met forse kortingen op hun NOW‑bijdrage. In dit artikel bespreken wij de knelpunten en opties voor de getroffen ondernemers.

Meer dan 100.000 bedrijven hebben zich aangemeld voor de NOW-regeling en ik spreek heel veel bedrijven die ook al een voorschot hebben ontvangen. Dat lijkt allemaal soepel te verlopen. Toch bestaan er nog steeds heel veel vraagtekens en onduidelijkheden rondom de NOW-regeling.
